Hey there, I know this comm has been quiet a LONG time (heh, see what I did there?) but I've just been thinking lately how very very busy Justin is, and if he still has fans hanging around LJ, I figure people need to know!!
First of all, it's just been announced that Justin will be making his debut on Broadway on April 3rd!! I already have my tickets for a show in May and I'm ridiculously excited.
Also, what Justin was doing last week made me squee with excitement. I made a little picspam at my journal of him filming in Brooklyn for A Case of You, which he not only wrote and produced, but is also starring in! It's a production of Justin's new company in partnership with his brother Christian, I'm So Sorry Productions.
I post a lot about Justin at my journal actually, if anyone is interested in checking it out. Picspams, updates, about what it was like meeting him in September at TIFF - I'm even in the process of reviewing every last one of the movies in Justin's filmography - and I've just been wondering if anyone out there is interested in reading it but me!
I'd love to hear from ya in a comment if you're a fellow Justin fan who posts about him as well.
The fact is that some critics of Variety and The New York Times want to sabotage the last film of Justin Long, “Planet 51”. They´re giving the film such a bad punctuation that it could dissuade the public from going to the cinema and watch it.
This is one of those really annoying begging posts: Does anybody have any good-size, high quality pictures of Justin? I'm trying to make a stencil of him, but can't find a decent enough picture to use. Any help would be very much appreciated. :)
Hello, thought I'd introduce myself as I am new here. My name's Beckiee and I'm a new fan of the Justin guy. I hadn't much paid attention too him till I saw Dodgeball not that long ago. Anyways, very much interested in his work, and I'm excited to see his new work! And he's so damn cute!!! Also a bonus. But in closing, hello to all of you and hope to talk lots! :)
The good news is that Austin fans will finally get to see Mike Judge's futuristic comedy, Idiocracy, on the big screen. The bad news is that people in most other areas of the country likely won't. Idiocracy opens in limited (and very quiet, judging by the lack of a trailer and short notice) release on Sept. 1 in Austin, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Chicago, and Toronto, a spokesperson for 20th Century Fox said. Whether the long-delayed, Austin-shot film will expand to other markets is uncertain.
Bummer for me, since I live in San Francisco, but maybe good news for some of you? =) I don't know how big Justin's role is, but I would watch this film regardless as soon as I get the chance. I loved Office Space and I love comedies set 1,000 years in the future.
Also, Justin's film Raising Genius will be released on DVD September 12. I've already put it in the system at work so I can get it early.
We were having our own party in the bar after the Done The Impossible screening [Justin's group was in the next room and he walked by], so that's why I'm dressed up like Inara from Firefly/Serenity. I told him that I wished I wasn't meeting him dressed like a total nerd, and he said that's okay, he's dressed like a nerd all the time. He was a sweetheart. =p [At least I wasn't in my Harry Potter costume or something.]
We spoke for a few minutes. I told him I'd been a fan since Galaxy Quest, and he said it was his first con ever and joked that it was kinda like Galaxy Quest. There were a few screenings of Accepted at the con and I didn't make it to any of them, but I told him I was excited about it and all the films he has coming out. He said yeah, in the fall, three of them - like he couldn't believe it himself.
Aaaaand one of my friends came up to us and asked 'Hey - aren't you in the Mac ad?' Most people I spoke to afterwards who wanted to know who I was talking to? Only knew him from the Mac Ad. I can't wait for his films to do well, and for the world to catch up on the awesomeness of Justin.
